“Az nahāyate tāriki” – (From the Deep End of Darkness) for soprano voice and harpsichord has been shortlisted for the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for chamber-scale composition 2024. The piece was commissioned by Three Choirs Festival for Carolyn Sampson and Mahan Esfahani. It premiered on 22 July 2023 at Holy Trinity Church in Gloucester.
The award ceremony was held at RNCM on 5 March 2024 in Manchester.
